Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro

One of the largest department stores in Tokyo. Directly connected to Ikebukuro Station. A tax exemption of 8% is available (without any commission fees). Free Wi-fi and a multilingual interpreter service are also available.

Sweets Market is located across 8 zone to 10 zone of the first floor basement (B1F), and features three confectionary shops that are ideal for buying personal gifts: BISCUITERIE BRETONNE, the first specialist biscuit and baked confectionary shop to be opened by brand owner Edelweiss Co., Ltd. in the Ikebukuro district; Minimal - Bean to Bar Chocolate, a specialist chocolatier with its own demonstration kitchen where fresh chocolate is made from cocoa beans instore; and Fujimido, a senbei (rice cracker) shop based in Aoto, Tokyo, which pays uncompromising attention to its ingredients and handmade methods of preparation.
In addition to these shops, the Sweets Market also features an impressive array of other shops, many of which are the first of their kind in the Tokyo (or Ikebukuro) area. They include OYATSU Table, a shop that offers a selection of charming sweets and confectionary assembled from across Japan, and HANDEL’S CAFÉ, which offers a range of coffees and ice creams.

Floors 11-15 of the department store are the largest restaurant floors in Tokyo with 46 restaurants of Japanese (including sushi, sukiyaki, tempura, and ramen), yakiniku, Chinese, Italian, and Spanish cuisines, among which you will surely find what you like. You can enjoy desserts as well, as there are sweet shops including a popular one using matcha green tea. As the restaurants are open until 23:00, you can enjoy having a meal after you finish shopping.

Zones 1-3 on the 2F make up the largest cosmetic section in Tokyo with more than 50 cosmetic brands, including various leading Japanese brands such as Shiseido, Cle de Peau Beaute, ALBION, Pola, FANCL, SK-II and Shu Uemura, and imported brands such as CHANEL, Dior, YVES SAINT LAURENT and Givenchy. Payments can be made using various credit cards, as well as the China UnionPay card, Alipay, and WeChat Pay payment services.

Zones 2-3 on the 7F are where you will find MIKI HOUSE with its variety of children’s goods, such as new born baby products and underwear, diapers, baby clothes and dresses for ceremonies and special events, bathing and bedding products, strollers, baby shoes, picture books, safe toys, and more.
At Shoe Square, customers can not only find a range of functional shoes for babies and children to support their foot growth, but also coordinating shoes with clothes.
