Tsutsujigaoka Park

Approx. 10,000 azaleas of 50 types grown here won the "honorable prize", the best prize at the International Garden and Greenery Exposition.

Tsutsujigaoka Park, designated as a place of national scenic beauty, is renowned as the best azalea park in Japan. The “Azalea Festival” is held at this park in spring.
Enjoy various azaleas which can be seen only at this park, such as 8 different species registered as originals, “Space Azalea” grown from seeds that were brought to outer space by Ms. Chiaki Mukai who flew on the space shuttle Columubia, and torch azaleas which are estimated to be 800 years old.
