Senso-ji Temple is considered the oldest temple in Tokyo. This temple has been crowded with people visiting to pray on July 10 since ancient times, as it is believed that visiting on that day will give you the same divine power as visiting as many as 46,000 days. On that day, there are about 100 shops selling vibrant red hozuki (Chinese Lantern Plant), and they are filled with people in colorful yukata (a casual type of kimono).
