"Ishidan Hina Matsuri (the stone steps doll festival)" is held in Ikaho in March, to celebrate the Girls Festival.
The highlight of the festival are lovely "Kodomobina (child hina dolls)" sitting on the stone steps in the Ikaho town♪
You can feel the spring in Ikaho with the view of the smiling children with light colored makeup in beautiful costumes on the stone stpes. They also pound mochi (rice cake) and give away sweet sake (a sweet drink made from fermented rice) at the stone steps:)

From JR Shibukawa Station, take the Kan-etsu Kotsu Bus bound for "Ikaho Onsen" for approx. 25 mins.
