The first photo shows the view from Katanokoya Lodge in Mt. Tanigawadake, one of the best 100 mountains in Japan. As Tanigawadake Ropeway runs to Tenjindaira, many climers visit this area on the climing season (the lodge will be open until the beginning of November). The second photo shows Ichinokura-sawa, one of three major rock walls in Japan! It is overwhelming to see unmelted snow in the middle of summer! Also, do not miss Minakami Onsen on your way home from the mountains!
